Summary

We are looking for a motivated Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team in San Antonio. This high-energy role requires availability Monday through Friday and some Saturdays, with a workweek of 40+ hours and overtime as needed. You will play a crucial role in the safe and precise preparation of compounded medications, helping us provide outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compound medications according to prescriptions and established protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist in patient consultations and provide excellent patient service.
  • Maintain accurate records of compounded medications and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Perform aseptic techniques to ensure medication safety.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Support the overall operations of the pharmacy as needed.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a pharmacy technician preferred.

  • Proven experience in compounding pharmacy or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
  • Excellent patient service skills with a focus on care and compassion.
  • Familiarity with IV infusion processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
