Ally Psychiatry is a rapidly growing organization in the behavioral healthcare sector, currently transitioning from a small business to a middle-market enterprise. As part of our expansion, we are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations for Inpatient Behavioral Health Facilities. This hands-on leadership role will oversee operations across inpatient facilities, enhance operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives to drive continued growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a proven ability to manage complex healthcare operations.
MUST RESIDE in the region - Florida, South Carolina, or Georgia with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or similar preferred.
The Regional Director of Operations plays a critical role in overseeing and enhancing the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Organization's hospital/facility-based services within their designated region. This position is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to RRPA medical staff (physicians, APPs, etc.) and others at various hospital/facility locations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, policies, and standards, and works to ensure RRPA delivers a high level of efficient and effective inpatient services. The Regional Director of Operations collaborates closely with their respective VP of Operations (Hospital or Outpatient) and other senior leaders to drive excellence in clinical and administrative operations across the region.
Strategic Leadership and Oversight:
- Develop and implement regional operational strategies, objectives, and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and evaluate inpatient performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Team Management and Development:
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to RRPA staff within the region, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Conduct regular meetings, trainings, and performance evaluations to ensure consistent standards and practices across hospitals/facilities.
Operational Excellence:
- Conduct regular site visits to hospitals and other ("non-hospital") 24/7 facilities within the region to assess operational efficiency, compliance with policies and regulations, and quality of care.
- Collaborate with hospital/facility based Clinical Leads to address operational challenges, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Outpatient Regional Leads and Clinic Office Managers to address operational challenges, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement for areas related to integration between inpatient and outpatient services.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a key liaison between hospital/facility-based customers/partners, the VP of Hospital Operations, and other organizational stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among clinics to promote consistency and excellence in service delivery.
Financial Management and Accountability:
- Monitor regional budgets, expenses, and revenue streams, ensuring financial sustainability and adherence to organizational financial policies.
- Collaborate with Finance and Billing departments to optimize revenue cycle management and financial performance.
- Assists the VP of Operations with business development (growth & diversification), up to and including identifying new relationships and opportunities for service line expansion.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies across regional hospitals/facilities.
- Support Office Managers in implementing quality assurance measures, conducting audits, and addressing compliance-related issues.
- Attendance is an essential function for this role.
Requirements:
- MUST RESIDE in the region - Florida, South Carolina, or Georgia
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, behavioral health field, or other related field required; Master's degree in related field preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or similar preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare operations with demonstrated leadership and management expertise, and a minimum of 1 year experience in either clinic or hospital operations preferred.
- Knowledge of mental health services, regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency of use in Microsoft Programs and EMR usage.
- Ability to travel 50 to 75% of time to facilities within the region
