Position Overview:

A private real estate investment firm is seeking a
Senior Director of Acquisitions
to lead the origination and sourcing of healthcare real estate opportunities nationwide. This externally facing role is focused on driving acquisition efforts, with an emphasis on
sale-leaseback transactions
,
joint ventures
, and
strategic partnerships
involving health systems, physician groups, developers, and private equity firms.

Serving as the "tip of the spear," this individual will be responsible for generating and advancing a strong pipeline of investment opportunities. The Senior Director will work closely with senior leadership, who will support negotiation and execution once deals are qualified and advanced.

The firm is open to candidates from two backgrounds:

  • A
    seasoned originator
    with experience in real estate acquisitions, brokerage, or tenant representation—preferably with exposure to institutional capital or fund structures.
  • A
    high-upside early-career professional
    with a strong foundation in commercial real estate and a relentless drive to grow, build, and succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source healthcare real estate acquisition opportunities, including sale-leasebacks with providers and joint ventures with developers or private equity sponsors.
  • Build and manage relationships with brokers, health systems, physician practices, and capital partners.
  • Maintain a robust, dynamic pipeline of off-market and marketed opportunities; act as the primary point of contact in early-stage deal development.
  • Partner with internal teams to qualify opportunities, support underwriting, and transition deals for execution.
  • Track market activity, identify high-potential geographies and specialties, and help shape sourcing strategy.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking venues to enhance visibility and deal flow.

Qualifications:

  • 5–15+ years of experience in
    commercial or healthcare real estate
    (open to both experienced professionals and high-potential talent).
  • Familiarity with
    healthcare real estate transactions
    , including sale-leasebacks, joint ventures, or structured partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability (or strong potential) to originate investment opportunities in real estate.
  • Background in
    brokerage, tenant representation, or leasing
    is preferred; experience with
    institutional investors or funds
    is a plus.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills; entrepreneurial mindset with a strong commercial instinct.
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and availability to
    travel frequently (50%+)
    for sourcing and relationship management.
