Job Overview

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, and transport pipe, tools, vessels, equipment and materials around the yard.

  • Inspect forklifts daily and complete equipment checklists prior to operation.
  • Assist with organizing, stacking, and storing materials according to size, type, and project requirements.
  • Maintain clear and safe walkways, storage areas, and equipment zones.
  • Support shipping and receiving functions—verifying incoming and outgoing loads against work orders and manifests.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by tagging, labeling, and recording material movements.
  • Communicate with yard foreman and drivers to coordinate efficient loading and unloading procedures.
  • Follow all company safety protocols, including PPE use, LOTO, and equipment operation policies.
  • Report any damaged materials, equipment malfunctions, or unsafe conditions immediately to supervision.
  • Perform general yard maintenance and housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications.

  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift or material handling experience (preferably in an oilfield or industrial environment).
  • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain through company training).
  • Strong understanding of load balance, weight distribution, and safe lifting practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret load tickets, manifests, and inventory tags.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor environments and under varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
