IT Sr. Analyst – SAP ECC FICO

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead SAP FICO solution design, configuration, and deployment for global and local ECC projects.
  • Collaborate with Finance business teams to capture requirements and align them with system design.
  • Deliver robust solutions in FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Banking, Tax, Consolidation) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, COPA, Profit Center Accounting).
  • Configure and test systems and business processes, resolve defects, and support testing.
  • Manage cross-functional FICO integration points with SD, MM, PP, and HR.
  • Provide production support including ticket resolution through ServiceNow, enhancements, and month-end closing activities.
  • Perform IDoc processing, resolve errors, and ensure timely data flow between SAP and external systems.
  • Provide Vertex tax integration support in SAP ECC and partner with Vertex support teams for tax-related issues and accelerator updates.
  • Handle incident management and change requests, including functional specification preparation and testing.
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom coding and debugging.
  • Support testing cycles (unit, integration, and UAT) across all project phases.
  • Document solutions and standard operating procedures for knowledge transfer.
  • Utilize Solution Manager or external job scheduling tools such as Control-M.
  • Investigate and resolve job failures (financial postings, settlement runs, payment runs, billing jobs, etc.) to ensure successful execution.
  • Develop, update, and maintain RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
  • Perform FICO system validation testing after system refresh to ensure settings are complete for posting.
  • Support end-to-end cutover checklist and task sequencing, including planning, execution, and coordination across business and technical teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of SAP ECC FICO experience in Finance and Controlling, with the ability to support OTC (SD). Must have participated in at least 1–3 full life cycle implementations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading solution design activities for FICO project requirements.
  • Background in designing and managing supply chain processes.
  • Experience working in DevOps environments, managing upgrades and deployments.
  • Strong collaboration skills; able to work effectively with multicultural teams.
  • Self-motivated team player, current on digital supply chain trends and technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years of work experience). If an Associate's Degree, a minimum of 6 years of equivalent experience is required.
