Boston, Massachusetts, United States Levo - Clinician Retention Made Simple Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Title:
Product Engineer

Location:
Boston (in-person; customer exposure expected)

Reports to:
CEO

Stage:
Early growth (team of ~10)

Website:

Why this role
Levo helps healthcare providers recruit and retain frontline talent (nurses, caregivers, clinicians, etc.). With a small, fast team, we're hiring a
Product Engineer
who thrives on either side of product and engineering. This role is about
prioritizing what to build vs. reading tickets
- you'll sit in on customer calls, use our tools to accelerate code, and own features end-to-end.

We work with some of the largest and most influential healthcare providers as customers and investors and this is the right fit for someone who wants an outsized impact in a must-solve Vertical AI opportunity.

What You'll Own
Product + Engineering Execution

  • End-to-end ownership: mock-up, build, ship, and monitor features.
  • Guide tooling and write appropriate evals / guardrails to ensure everything makes sense.
  • Write tests and manage CI/CD for your own work.
  • Join customer calls and implementations to integrate feedback directly.

Customer-Centered Development

  • Translate customer asks into product requirements and user stories.
  • Actively participate in implementations; understand workflows firsthand.
  • Ensure features ship with reliability and usability for real-world customers.

Collaboration & Growth

  • Contribute to product direction alongside the rest of the leadership team.
  • Propose and lead workflow / process improvements to help the team ship faster and better.

15/30/45 day expectations
At 15 Days

  • Get up to speed on Levo's stack (React, TypeScript, Go).
  • Ship small but meaningful fixes/features. (Our team has averaged 1-2 days for speed-to-first-PR)

  • Some contenders: topic-based routing for common employee complaints, recruiter leaderboard with benchmarks

  • Shadow customer calls and implementations.

At 30 Days

  • Own and ship a feature end-to-end (mock-up → build → ship → monitor).
  • Contribute to at least one customer implementation.
  • Balance speed of delivery with production reliability.

At 45 Days

  • Take ownership of a product area, reliably shipping features customers use.
  • Be trusted to decide what to build (not just how to build it).
  • Integrate customer feedback directly into your work.
  • Contribute to product direction alongside Jason and senior engineers.

Who You Are

  • A builder with some sort of track record (can be a side project, hackathon, etc)
  • Solid technical foundation across our stack.

  • Includes React, HTML, TypeScript, Go, Python, Twilio (Studio Flows), Temporal, Jotform, Typeform, and AWS.

  • You don't need to know them all — adaptability and learnability matter most.

  • Strong product sense: can identify what's worth building, not just how to build it.

  • Excited to use AI tools as leverage, not threatened by them.
  • Energized by talking to customers and shaping features from their pain points.
  • Thrives with support nearby but doesn't need handholding.

Read This Carefully

  • Not a ticket-taker - you'll decide what to build.
  • Not heads-down-only - you'll be customer-facing.
  • Not for order-followers - you'll have support but must set your own direction.

How We Work

  • Always part of the solution - We understand that identifying problems is only the first step; we commit to being actively involved in resolving them.
  • Invent and simplify - We are humble enough to know that world-class most likely involves something we haven't tried yet. We look for ideas from everywhere and constantly look for ways to make our lives simpler.
  • Progress over perfection - We believe that the first step is always the toughest and don't let that stop us from being bold. We give ourselves grace when experiments don't work and adapt quickly to setbacks.
  • See something, say something - Our success is collective, and so are our failures. When we see something that needs to be addressed, we call it out and are part of the solution.
