Position Summary

We're seeking a seasoned, self-motivated Senior Low Voltage Technician III to join our Atlanta-based field team.

This is not an entry-level role—applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of hands-on field experience installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning low-voltage systems.

Candidates must be able to confidently explain the systems they've worked on, demonstrate problem-solving ability, and operate independently in dynamic environments.

Travel: 50–60% throughout the Southeast region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and program enterprise-level access control systems (KeyScan, Lenel, Isonas, Allegion, etc.)
  • Install, aim, focus, and configure IP camera systems (Dahua, Axis, Uniview, etc.)
  • Install and commission commercial AV and video-conferencing systems (Zoom Rooms, Teams Rooms, etc.)
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for structured cabling, WAPs, and switching infrastructure
  • Terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6, coax, and fiber optic cabling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and AV schematics
  • Communicate effectively with IT, facilities, and construction managers
  • Mentor and support Level I and Level II Technicians
  • Operate and maintain hand tools, test equipment, lifts, and power tools safely
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety guidelines and local codes

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of field experience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage systems (Access Control, IP Surveillance, or Commercial AV)
  • Skilled in structured cabling per TIA/EIA and BICSI standards
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools (Fluke, NetAlly, etc.)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve telecom, AV, and network connectivity issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; capable of interfacing with technical stakeholders
  • Ability to read and mark up construction plans and riser diagrams
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
  • OSHA 10 preferred; BICSI or AVIXA CTS certifications preferred but not required
  • Low-voltage license preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Work from ladders, lifts, and tight spaces as needed
  • Perform fine-motor tasks and stand/walk for extended periods
