Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia is launching an exciting new program — a Mobile Grocery Store that brings affordable groceries directly into neighborhoods with limited access to fresh food. We're looking for a friendly, dependable CDL Driver to operate our new Featherlite tractor-trailer grocery store and help make this program a success

This is not a mobile food pantry. Customers will purchase groceries (including with EBT benefits) just as they would in a traditional store. You'll work closely with a Kroger cashier, who will handle sales onboard, while you represent Second Harvest in the community with professionalism and great customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Start each day at Second Harvest's Chatham Parkway location to pick up the truck.
  • Drive to Kroger on Mall Boulevard, arriving by 8:30 AM to restock the trailer and pick up the assigned Kroger cashier.
  • Travel to two scheduled community stops per day in food desert areas, safely setting up and operating the mobile grocery store.
  • Return the truck to Second Harvest at the end of each day, secure the vehicle, and ensure refrigeration and freezer systems remain powered overnight.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate driving logs.
  • Keep the truck and trailer clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Assist with light restocking, loading, and unloading as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service — you'll be the face of Second Harvest to the communities we serve

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
  • 3+ years of commercial driving experience (tractor-trailer or Class A specialty truck required).
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform light physical work.
  • Commitment to the mission of Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.
  • Criminal history background check, MVR check and pre-employment drug screen required.

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
