Responsibilities

  • Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations, prep areas, and storage spaces.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and preparing ingredients when needed.
  • Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during busy service periods.
  • Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with established standards.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by maintaining a professional attitude and supporting fellow team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key
  • Familiarity with basic cleaning procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Experience in banquet settings or catering environments is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of food handling safety regulations is advantageous.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior kitchen or culinary experience, including bussing or food preparation roles, will be highly valued.
