POSITION SUMMARY

Inspect, identify and control all plant pests and pathogens for all assigned horticulture areas. Mix and apply pest control materials. Maintain accurate records of inspections and locations, amounts and types of pest control material utilized in course of assigned tasks to promote compliance with State and Federal regulations. Provide training to Horticulture staff in regard to pest management and plant materials. Maintain and repair equipment required to perform assigned pest control tasks. Provide bird and rodent control for the property as assigned. Perform plant wash down and cleaning as assigned. Assist with the removal and installation of plant material as assigned. Perform soil analysis and apply soil amendments including, but not limited to fertilizers, lime and new soil as assigned

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Promote adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladder. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: Minimum 2 years related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

License or Certification: State Pest Control Operator Certification

DOT or Hazmat Certification

Wildlife Control Permit
