Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, including patient observation, medication administration, and personal care, to enhance the quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheters.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the client's living area, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks.
  • Support clients with memory care, dementia care, and Alzheimer's care as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining accurate medical documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EHR systems is advantageous.
  • Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications related to caregiving are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs.
  • Strong observational skills for monitoring patient health and well-being.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: $ $15.00 per hour
