Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager based in Austin, Texas to expand Aptly's footprint across the state and broader southern region. This role is ideal for a hunter-type salesperson experienced in selling IT solutions and managed services to enterprise and mid-market clients.

The successful candidate will combine strong outreach and networking skills with a structured approach to building long-term relationships. You will engage with major regional enterprises — such as Phillips 66, USAA, Dell, Oracle, Tesla, and other Fortune-500 firms — to develop warm leads, open new accounts, and drive partnership growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business for Aptly's IT service offerings (infrastructure support, cloud migration, managed services, software delivery, and outsourcing).
  • Identify and qualify new enterprise and mid-market prospects through:
  • Industry events, conferences, and networking forums
  • Cold calling and direct outreach campaigns
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator, , Apollo, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, and referral networks
  • Build a sustainable pipeline of qualified opportunities and convert leads into signed engagements.
  • Establish and grow executive-level relationships (CIO, VP IT, Procurement, Operations).
  • Develop partnership channels with large local and regional companies to create recurring business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with delivery and technical teams to design tailored proposals that address client needs.
  • Maintain detailed activity, pipeline, and forecast reports in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent).
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and margin targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • 5–10 years of experience in business development or solution sales within IT services, consulting, or technology sectors.
  • Proven success selling to enterprise accounts in Texas or the southern U.S. market.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads through events, networking, and outbound prospecting.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in modern sales and prospecting tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, , HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Apollo, etc.).
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable with independent and remote work.
  • Spanish bilingual ability a plus.
