The
Global Procurement Specialist Team
is a specialized organization involved in vendor setup and selection, vendor payment and invoicing issues, and business partner collaboration. We support not only the Buyers in Global Procurement, but also internal and external business partners. We are the conduit between Hallmark and vendors. We work with a number of internal business groups, such as Accounts Payable, Global Transportation, Product Teams, and IT, just to name a few. We are the problem solvers that move at a fast pace, supporting the Enterprise with purchasing needs.

What This Role Entails And How You'll Contribute
The
Global Procurement Specialist
is responsible for a broad range of procurement functions supporting procurement transactions, product development, supplier relationship management, resolution of supplier quality issues, surplus inventory/equipment sales, and invoice error resolution. The specialist may have areas of emphasis within these functions; however, the incumbents have expertise and knowledge in performing all aspects of the roles. Using various systems (SAP, ARIBA, etc.) the specialists ensure timely exchange of product development and pre-costing samples/quotes, issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely payment to suppliers. The Procurement Specialist researches and resolves invoice discrepancies pertaining to price and quantity differences, and provides timely customer service and support to buyers, accounts payable, business partners, end users, receiving personnel and suppliers.

This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Basic Qualifications
The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • An associates degree OR 2 years professional work experience
  • Experience in SAP or Ariba

Preferred Qualifications
Your resume/application will stand out if you have:

  • Bachelors Degree or 4 years relevant experience
  • Strong process management skills
  • Experience with Lean tools and behaviors

Additional Details
This is a hybrid position in our headquarters office in Kansas City, MO. Primarily work from home, but will occasionally require in office hours to assist with sample specialists or other duties.
