Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves engaging with the public and staff in a professional manner, responding promptly to incidents, and upholding the highest standards of customer service. This position requires a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, and you will be empowered to contribute to a secure environment through teamwork, integrity, and the caring culture that defines Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper judgment and communication skills.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment.
• Monitor and control access points to help to maintain security-related standards at the location.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
• Prepare detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrols.
• Remain alert and observant to potential security-related threats or hazards and communicate findings to the appropriate parties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
