Just a few years old, Egen is fast-growing, helping companies transform and modernize their IT infrastructure to power growth and drive efficiency.The lifecycle of an Egen project runs all the way from planning to sales through execution and closure, with many stops in between. As a Senior Project Lead, you'll help support looking after them. Reporting to a Delivery Lead, this is an opportunity to leverage our existing foundation and help build out our project management function, which is imperative to successful execution of the large-scale IT transformation projects that we implement and manage in partnership with our customers.Key Responsibilities:Presales, Resourcing, and SalesIdentify and elevate needs for new or changed resourcing of new projects.Perform scope and requirements analysis, participate in SOW authoring.Contribute to and help manage SOW redlines, driving to close with SDLs.Partner with account teams, helping to ensure they have the information they need to be successful and aware of project delivery progress.Assist with back-end project preparation and execution administration both independently and under the direction of senior leaders.Run Project ExecutionInitiate project work with team members ensuring they are set for success internally and externally. Create kickoff materials and play a leading role in kickoff ceremonies and activities.Create and manage to project plans, communicate plans to internal and external stakeholders.Manage customer expectations on project dates, timelines accordingly.Partner with customer teams, partners, and project leadership.Take meeting minutes (with team collaboration), run meetings.Create project status reports, reviewing with internal teams and partnering with Delivery Leads to deliver to Customers.Manage the day to day project ensuring the Egen team is delivering against expectations, identify and escalate changes in scope and impediments. Manage projects using our project tracking systems.As needed, research and prepare change request requirements and impact. Participate in creating change requests and managing through to signature.Run agile or similar ceremonies, using both best practice and creativity to meet the customer and project where it is and where it needs to be.Manage project work, sprint/kanban work through tools, learning as needed for a given Customer environment.Identify and escalate risks and issues proactively.Think creatively about new and innovative improvements to existing processes but you know when to back off.Manage Internal Team CommunicationsClearly articulate scope and expectations to Egen team members, making sure their roles are clear and they are set up for success.Partner effectively with other teams engaged, treating the customer as an equal and actively coaching others to avoid common consulting behavior.Look for ways to innovate and use new tools, your own thinking and tool chest to improve how projects are run. Have the foresight to build for a client with an eye to building for future reuse.Regularly check in and manage the team. Keep a regular cadence of internal strategy and syncs. Agile Player / CoachBe a knowledgeable source for agile practices and philosophies.Demonstrate by example, leading customer and partner teams through practices.Use past experience and knowledge to apply the right agility to the job.Think creatively, recommending process improvements aligned to Egen's brand.As needed, jump in hands on to write user stories, manage backlogs, clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and all the things needed to ensure developers can produce effectively and efficiently.Know the difference and when to partner with your team over "manage" them. Partner with the CustomerBuild relationships, partnering with and advocating for your Clients. Keep a regular cadence of discussions and progress updates.Manage communication with stakeholders of multiple levels, primarily peer project managers and team members below.About You:3-5 years of experience in managing medium to large-scale projects with experience managing project teams of various sizes, locations, and skillsets/ levels.Experience in professional services or client delivery; this is a client facing role.Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a technology-related field.Recommended experience working within product companies and consultancies.You think and work systematically and logically, backed up by technical skills, methodological problem solving, and practical thinking.You are a clear communicator both verbally and in writing. You know how to convey information through illustration, words, or diagram/workflow.Trained in project management and agile disciplines required either self taught or formal.You may have a background in engineering, software architecture, or delivery. Priority certification as a scrum master.
