Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.Please note that per our policy on hybrid/virtual work, candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered for employment, unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.As a Senior Software Engineer on the 24/7 platform team, you will join a team of engineers managing our internal platform for patient data and workflow management. You will be expected to collaborate with fellow software engineers, members of our product and operational teams, and external partners to ensure system reliability and deliver new features. CareBridge operates on a modern infrastructure-as-code (IaC) technology stack in AWS. Our codebase includes ReactJS, Material UI, Elixir, Phoenix, Postgres, and more. For this role, we are seeking a developer with extensive web application development experience.How you will make an impact:Build, deliver, and maintain applications and systems across complex multi-technology platforms.Maintain an understanding of how your work contributes to larger initiatives; identify risks and gaps in requirements.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following established best practices.Maintain active relationships with stakeholders; lead requirements-gathering meetings.Own the change request process and coordinate with other teams as needed.Provide technical advice and influence cross-functional technical decisions.Research and propose new technologies; develop and prioritize enhancement lists.Define application scope and objectives; prepare technical and functional specifications.Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews.Oversee unit and system testing to ensure compliance with test plans.Support data and information planning; assess current systems and recommend improvements.Coordinate support and ensure effective system monitoring.Maintain the technical development environment.Mentor team members.Set direction at the project/service level and influence decision-making.Identify and propose strategies for resolving technical problems impacting the team.Communicate technical standards and gain buy-in from stakeholders.Facilitate group sessions for requirements clarification, design, troubleshooting, and code reviews.Support vendor evaluation and integration.Minimum Requirements:Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years related experience; multi-dimensional platform experience; expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:Minimum of 5 years of related experience in application/system development and maintenance highly preferred.Expertise working with business and technical applications across multi-technology platforms highly preferred.Strong background in multi-database and/or multi-language environments highly preferred.Proven experience mentoring others and leading small-to-medium projects highly preferred.Demonstrated ability to provide troubleshooting and technical support highly preferred.Skilled in developing technical and functional specifications highly preferred.Experience conducting technical design and code reviews highly preferred.Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams highly preferred.Ability to balance technical, analytical, and product considerations in solution design highly preferred.Strong experience with Javascript, React or other front-end frameworks, Elixir, Postgres highly preferred.Coding bootcamp or professional certifications preferred.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative problem-solving approach preferred.Experience with telehealth solutions, mobile applications, and connected devices preferred.Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment preferred.Job Level:Non-Management ExemptWorkshift:1st Shift (United States of America)Job Family:IFT > Engineering/DevPlease be advised that Elevance Health only accepts resumes for compensation from agencies that have a signed agreement with Elevance Health.
