Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience in Power BI Report Builder Power BI Service and MS Power BI. The ideal candidate will excel in developing and optimizing business intelligence solutions with a preference for those experienced in the Cards & Payments domain. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment contributing to impactful projects during day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for data visualization.
• Optimize existing Power BI solutions to enhance performance and user experience.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing best practices in data modeling and transformation.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and team members.
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends to continuously improve solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data sources.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within Power BI environments.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of data solutions that align with company goals.
• Document processes solutions and best practices for future reference and training.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Engage in continuous learning to enhance skills and knowledge in Power BI and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Possess strong experience in Power BI Report Builder Power BI Service and MS Power BI.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Show proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques.
• Have experience in the Cards & Payments domain is a plus.
• Display effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications Required

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate

The annual salary for this position is between $80k – $ 100k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
