NetSuite Lead Accountant

SUMMARY
INTUS Windows is seeking a Lead NetSuite Accountant to own the maintenance, integrity, and optimization of all accounting-related data and processes within the NetSuite ERP system. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data, and will support the Finance and Accounting teams by managing the configuration of accounting modules, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and driving system improvements.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with NetSuite, a strong understanding of accounting operations, and a passion for process optimization and data integrity. This is a key role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of finance and technology.
In addition to NetSuite ownership, this role will provide financial oversight of other integrated systems and applications that impact accounting workflows and reporting. The Lead NetSuite Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that data flowing into NetSuite from systems such as inventory management, procurement, and production is accurate, compliant, and aligned with financial controls.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
NetSuite System Ownership
- Maintain and manage all accounting-related data elements in NetSuite, including chart of accounts, general ledger segments, departments, classes, vendors, and customers, etc.
- Ensure financial data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across all NetSuite modules and integrations.
- Perform regular system audits to validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
Accounting Operations & Month-End Support
- Support the Finance team with system-side configuration and execution of key accounting processes (e.g., journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting).
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close process through NetSuite, including GL reviews and period locks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system-generated transactions, reports, or workflows.
ERP Optimization & Enhancements
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and IT to enhance NetSuite functionality and reporting capabilities.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting workflows, automations, and internal controls within the system.
- Participate in the testing, validation, and deployment of NetSuite updates and customizations.
Documentation & Training
- Document accounting processes, user roles, and workflows within NetSuite.
- Provide system training and support to accounting staff on NetSuite functionality, reporting tools, and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert for accounting modules and serve as liaison between Finance and technical teams.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure accounting configurations in NetSuite align with internal policies, US GAAP requirements, and audit standards.
- Provide requested system data and support during financial audits or compliance reviews.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, US GAAP accounting, and best practices
- Deep knowledge of manufacturing accounting and industry documentation.
- Experience on the multiple entity consolidation, foreign exchange gain/loss transactions
- Proficient leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite ERP systems.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential financial data with discretion and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve account discrepancies.
- Experience in preparing for and assisting with annual audits.
Adaptability and willingness to accept changes and seek continuous improvement opportunities.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years working directly with NetSuite ERP.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with Netsuite or other ERP implementations, and data migration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy and process improvement.
Preferred Skills:
- NetSuite Administrator or ERP certification is a plus.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Zoho Projects).
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls.
