Sr Director of Corporate Strategy, Operational Excellence

Position Summary
The Senior Director will be a key leader within F5's Corporate Strategy team, responsible for driving enterprise-wide operational transformation and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. This leader will design and deliver frameworks that streamline processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen alignment across global functions. By partnering with senior executives and business unit leaders, this role ensures that F5's strategic priorities translate into measurable operational impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Operational Excellence Practice within our Corporate Strategy team
- Solve complex cross-functional issues to accelerate our top- or bottom-line growth.
- Analyze and optimize business processes, identify waste and inefficiencies, and implement solutions
- Partner with senior leaders across business functions (Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, People & Culture) to align operations with F5's corporate strategy.
- Establish performance frameworks, KPIs, and metrics to monitor execution and measure impact. Partner with Business Operations teams for KPI tracking and implementation.
- Build and develop a high-performing team that brings operational rigor, analytical insight, and change management expertise.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executives, providing data-driven insights and recommendations that influence decision-making. Key stakeholders are COO, CFO and Senior Leadership Team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational discipline across the organization.
Qualifications:
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate strategy, operational excellence, or management consulting, including:
3-5 years of strategy consulting experience (i.e. McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
3-5 years of experience working within a tech company
Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
- Expertise in cloud operations and financial models, including cost levers
- Ability to connect strategy to execution and measurable outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership, influencing, and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with C-level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive alignment across functions, and deliver results.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The annual base pay for this position is: $239, $358,800.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5's differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
