Position Summary

We are actively recruiting for a Referral Coordinator to join our growing team at Raleigh Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

Reviewing and entering new referrals to RO physicians.

Data entry of demographics and insurance information for new referrals to the practice.

Addressing referral issues with community providers.

Maintaining compliance for co-management documents with co-managing providers for cataract surgery.

Assisting with urgent referral scheduling.

Maintain multiple platforms and resources receiving referrals.

Maintain fax inbox receiving referral follow-up notes.

Qualifications


• Displays high level of professionalism and gives superb customer service

Careful attention to detail a must


• Obtains and reviews patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy


• Verifies insurance eligibility when entering referral information


• Schedules urgent referral appointments


• Coordinates with other staff to ensure optimal patient experience
