Company Description

Flowstate AI is building next-generation AI agents that watch and analyze videos so humans don't have to. Our platform enables archival search, structured data extraction, content moderation, and generative applications, initially targeting enterprise clients in the media and entertainment industry. As a nimble, early-stage team, we have rapidly moved from pre-seed funding to delivering our first six-figure ARR client, and we are now scaling aggressively to expand our platform's capabilities. Flowstate is a high-ownership, innovation-driven environment where independent thinking and long-term impact are highly valued.

Role Description

As our founding AI/ML engineer, you'll design and orchestrate multi-model pipelines that power video understanding, search, tagging, and agentic workflows that continuously improve from feedback. You'll be at the heart of building the systems that turn raw video into actionable intelligence and revenue-generating insights. In this role, you'll develop evaluation frameworks to benchmark performance across accuracy, latency, and scale, optimize prompts and workflows for reliability and cost efficiency, and work with vector databases and embeddings to handle large video corpora. You'll collaborate closely with engineers to productionize these systems on cloud infrastructure, shaping the AI foundation of a high-growth startup from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to impact the core product and help define the future of AI-driven video intelligence.

Qualifications

  • Experience with AI APIs from Google (Gemini, Veo), Anthropic, OpenAI etc.
  • Experience with agentic architectures for making compound AI systems (e.g. VectorDB, RAG etc.)
  • Experience standing up evaluations for various AI use cases e.g. metrics, reporting, ablations etc.
  • Experience with hosting open source models using inference services (e.g. Modal, Baserun etc.)
  • Experience with computer vision algorithms (ViTs, CLIP etc.)

Compensation

Estimated salary $150,000 - $200,000, plus a competitive equity package (0.3%-1.5%).
