Position Summary
Under the administrative direction of the Director of Performance Management, the Senior Project Manager will provide management and leadership to plan, prepare, and execute multiple complex and high-profile projects as needed for the implementation of the Boston Medical Center Health Center ("System") initiatives. The nature of these projects is strategic, financial and operational. This area is critical to the success of the System, as it relates to our ability to analyze, understand and provide insights across the organization to support effective decision making. In addition to directly supporting the Associate Director of Decision Guidance and Performance Improvement, and all its responsibility areas, this role will interface with System leadership, operating unit heads, corporate-level business leaders, hospital VPs and physician leadership. The nature of this work will be both time bound and results driven and require multi-disciplinary organization, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Essential Responsibilities / Duties
- Providing continuity in all areas of responsibility under the Director of Performance Management
- Responsible and accountable for more than one project at a time.
- Will oversee projects and all associated responsibilities independently when required
- Responsible for overseeing production of and ensuring the quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
- Accountable for managing multiple resources and stakeholders to remain on track for successful completion or work.
- Responsible for the identification and effective communication of project risks and the development and implementation of the mitigations for these risks.
- Develop implementation plans and recommendations to aid in decision-making by senior management. Includes: gathering qualitative information, developing scenarios (quantitative and qualitative) and financial analysis.
- Performs wide range of operational and financial analysis and financial modeling to support to senior leadership strategy formulation and decision making.
- Distills insights from data and synthesizes information to create compelling presentations for strategic decision making for executive audiences, both financial and non-financial.
- Keeps abreast of and understands clinical processes and the nature of healthcare delivery.
- Assigns tasks and responsibilities to project team members and manages internal and external expectations.
- Identifies change management and communication needs and creates solutions to support the implementation of projects.
- Creates timely, accurate, and informed deliverables to support the leadership group and larger Finance team.
- Working closely with both system and organizational resources across a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Overseeing projects, initiatives and resources, as applicable, over the entire project lifecycle (design à implementation à startup management) .

Job Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in the fields of health care, state or local government agencies, or consulting firms.
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate others, communicate complex ideas clearly, gain the respect of colleagues, and work collaboratively.
- Project management experience with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
- Experience working with and providing support to senior level leadership and other high-level stakeholders in a complex organization.
- A natural curiosity and energetic, creative, and collaborative approach to working and problem solving.
- A strong working knowledge of the healthcare environment, some hospital and/or physician administration/operations experience a plus.
- A balance of patience and perseverance necessary to affect change in a large and complex organization with a strong, natural drive to get things done.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience with strong skills in Excel, and PowerPoint, experience with MS Teams preferred.
