About the Role

Tophat Security is seeking a creative full-stack engineer — a hybrid of designer and developer capable of transforming ideas into fully functional, production-ready systems. You'll work at the intersection of data visualization, AI, and cybersecurity, turning complex analytics into clean, intuitive, and visually powerful web experiences.

We're looking for someone who not only writes great code but also brings prototypes (especially TypeScript/React concepts) to real-world deployment with performance, maintainability, and scalability in mind.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build full-stack web applications using Python, React, and
  • Convert TypeScript prototypes and proof-of-concepts into scalable, production-grade applications.
  • Design intuitive front-end interfaces with responsive and modern UX.
  • Write and optimize advanced Elasticsearch queries, aggregations, and dashboards.
  • Develop and integrate APIs using PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and JSON pipelines.
  • Collaborate with AI and cybersecurity engineers to visualize large-scale data streams.
  • Contribute to architectural design, performance tuning, and deployment strategy.

Required Skills

  • Python (Flask/FastAPI) for backend development.
  • React + for modern full-stack builds.
  • Expert in Elasticsearch queries and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript — with proven ability to evolve prototypes into maintainable products.
  • Strong grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and modular front-end architectures.
  • PostgreSQL schema design, optimization, and JSON data handling.
  • Clean, well-structured, and documented code practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Laravel and MySQL for cross-stack or legacy integrations.
  • Familiarity with Docker/Podman, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, AI/ML pipelines, or data visualization platforms.
  • Understanding of authentication frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
