Business Development Operations Lead
Job Description Summary:
- Responsible for driving operational efficiency across the capture and proposal lifecycle, supporting pipeline management, capture, and proposal processes under the guidance of the Chief Growth Officer. In addition, this role supports strategic initiatives such as marketing, partner management, and business development-related training.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Refine and update bid lifecycle processes from identification through award, ensuring all stages (capture, proposal, award) are consistently followed and updated as required.
- Support Defense and Homeland Security markets in the execution of capture and proposal processes to facilitate efficient progression of opportunities through the lifecycle and ensure proposal readiness.
- Conduct competitive research on assigned opportunities.
- Serve as Proposal Manager for assigned opportunities. Plans, coordinates and manages all aspects of proposals in response to the government solicitations to include RFPs, RFQs and RFIs.
- Act as color reviewer for proposals, as required
- Manage and update the proposal library to ensure timely access to resources for the business development team.
- Ensure seamless workflow across BD processes and tools.
- Support corporate marketing initiatives, including website management, development of marketing materials, and related activities as required.
- Support partner tracking and management.
- Identify, recommend and track participation in industry conferences, symposia, industry days and similar events.
- Develop and deliver in-house training programs focusing on proposal management, capture operations, and growth-related processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in business development, proposal management, and marketing as well as excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Experience developing proposals in one or more of the following capability areas: Strategic Planning; Systems Modernization; Advanced Data Analytics; IT Solutions & Support; Logistics & Engineering.
- Proficient in common applications, such as , SharePoint, and MS Office.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
