About the Role

We're looking for a
Business Development Associate (Hybrid SDR/BDR)
to be the front line of our sales organization. You'll be responsible for both
outbound prospecting
and
inbound lead qualification
, playing a critical role in building our sales pipeline.

This role is ideal for someone who is
self-motivated, curious about technology, comfortable on the phone, and eager to grow in sales.
You'll work closely with our leadership team to identify opportunities, book discovery calls, and help move qualified prospects into the sales funnel.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct
    outbound outreach
    via email, LinkedIn, and phone to generate new opportunities.
  • Respond to and qualify
    inbound leads
    quickly and effectively.
  • Schedule and manage
    introductory sales calls
    to understand prospect needs.
  • Clearly communicate Cloud Maven's product value proposition at a high level.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce (or company CRM).
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging, outreach sequences, and sales playbooks.
  • Consistently meet and exceed goals for meetings booked and opportunities created.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in a
    sales development, business development, or customer-facing role
    (SaaS or Salesforce ecosystem a plus).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable conducting phone and video calls with business professionals.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple outreach sequences.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a small, entrepreneurial team environment.

Plusses (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Familiarity with the
    Salesforce ecosystem
    (Salesforce CRM, AppExchange, Salesforce-native apps).
  • Understanding of
    business functions
    that our products support:
  • Credit and risk management
    (credit checks, Experian/TransUnion/Equifax integrations).
  • Loan origination and servicing
    (basic knowledge of lending workflows).
  • Secure communications
    (encrypted email, secure file transport, SMS/Fax within compliance).
  • Compliance and verification processes
    (ID/document verification, audit readiness).
  • Prior experience talking to
    Sales, Finance, or Operations leaders
    at small to mid-sized companies.
  • Ability to learn technical product features and translate them into
    business benefits
    during discovery conversations.
