Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing tax compliance and advisory services to our clients. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services, technical accounting, and the ability to analyze complex financial data. The Tax Associate will work closely with clients to ensure accurate tax filings and provide insights into their financial strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and compliance issues.
  • Assist clients with budgeting and financial planning strategies.
  • Conduct financial auditing to ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance with regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, including SOX compliance.
  • Utilize accounting software and tools such as Quicken for effective tax preparation.
  • Support clients in understanding the implications of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) on their financials.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality service and meet deadlines.

Experience

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in tax preparation or accounting roles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial auditing practices.
  • Knowledge of technical accounting principles is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
