Role Overview

We are seeking an Independent Advertising Representative to secure luxury brand partnerships and advertising placements within The Wedding Architects Editorial. This is a commission-based contract role for an experienced advertiser who understands how to sell atmosphere, exclusivity, and brand alignment — not just ad space.

You will represent The Wedding Architects to premium clients in the fashion, travel, beauty, event, and design sectors, developing integrated campaigns that appear across our editorial, digital, and social platforms.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop & Manage Luxury Brand Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with wedding-adjacent luxury brands (bridal couture, jewelry, venues, floral design, champagne, décor, travel).
  • Sell Multi-Channel Campaigns: Package and sell sponsored editorials, co-branded features, and integrated media placements. Present creative concepts aligned with editorial themes and upcoming issues.
  • Collaborate with Editorial Leadership: Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Department to align ad placements with the brand's luxury tone and design direction.
  • Negotiate & Close Contracts: Handle outreach, proposal creation, pricing negotiation, and closing. Maintain transparency on all client communications.
  • Protect Brand Integrity: Uphold The Wedding Architects' aesthetic and ethical standards. Decline offers from brands or industries that conflict with our image.
  • Report & Forecast Revenue: Collaborate on performance metrics to improve outreach efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in luxury advertising, media sales, or brand partnerships (experience with high-end wedding, fashion, or lifestyle brands preferred).
  • Deep understanding of editorial-advertising balance — able to sell narrative integration, not hard ads.
  • Strong network of marketing contacts within bridal, hospitality, or design sectors.
  • Polished communicator with a refined visual sense and confidence presenting to executives and creative directors.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of independent decision-making.
  • Skilled in CRM, digital proposals, and client follow-up systems.

Compensation

  • Commission-based (30–50%) of total advertising revenue generated.
  • Paid within 5 business days of client remittance.
  • No base salary; independent contractor status with quarterly performance review.
  • Tiered bonus for quarterly revenue benchmarks.

Additional Notes

  • Remote with occasional travel for networking or editorial events.
  • Contract term: initial 6 months, renewable upon performance.
  • All creative deliverables, designs, and invoicing will be coordinated through The Wedding Architects' internal team to ensure brand consistency.

Pay: $ $1,000.00 per hour
