We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with deep expertise in data quality, data governance, and enterprise data management. This role will focus on implementing and maintaining data quality frameworks, cataloging enterprise data assets, and ensuring data integrity across modern data platforms.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical proficiency in data profiling and quality tools with excellent analytical and communication skills to drive data excellence initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and enforce data quality rules, validations, and remediation workflows
  • Lead data profiling initiatives to assess data health and identify quality issues
  • Define and document data governance standards, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish data quality KPIs and SLAs

Data Cataloging & Management

  • Catalog and classify enterprise data assets using modern data governance platforms
  • Create and maintain metadata repositories and data lineage documentation
  • Establish data stewardship frameworks and drive adoption across teams
  • Support master data management (MDM) and reference data management initiatives

Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform advanced data analysis on large structured and semi-structured datasets
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to monitor data quality metrics
  • Write complex SQL queries for data validation and investigation
  • Generate reports and insights to support data-driven decision making

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with data engineers, architects, and business users to resolve data issues
  • Document technical specifications, data dictionaries, and process workflows
  • Facilitate data governance meetings and working sessions
  • Provide recommendations for data architecture improvements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, data quality, or data governance roles
  • Proven track record implementing enterprise data quality and governance programs
  • Experience working with modern data architectures (data lakes, cloud data warehouses, etc.)

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL proficiency - ability to write complex queries for large datasets
  • Data Governance/Cataloging Tools: Hands-on experience with platforms such as:
  • Collibra
  • Informatica (Data Quality, Axon)
  • Alation
  • Data EDO
  • Talend Data Catalog
  • Data Visualization Tools: Proficiency in at least two of:
  • Tableau
  • Power BI
  • Looker
  • Experience developing and deploying data quality rules and validation scripts
  • Strong working knowledge of data profiling techniques and methodologies

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $ $50.00 per hour
