Thrive on Skidaway is seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant & Driver to support our residents with engaging programs and safe, friendly transportation. Key Responsibilities:

Activities Support (25%-50%):

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating daily group activities including games, arts & crafts, music, exercise, educational sessions, and themed events.
  • Help lead morning programs such as trivia, movement classes, and social chats.
  • Encourage residents to participate, providing gentle reminders or one-on-one invitations when needed.
  • Help decorate common areas and set up for special events and holidays.
  • Support activity programs in all three areas of the community: Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living.
  • Create a warm, inclusive environment that helps residents feel seen, valued, and engaged.

Transportation (50%-75%):

  • Safely drive residents to scheduled appointments, scenic drives, and group outings in the community van or small bus.
  • Assist residents with mobility challenges, including use of walkers, wheelchairs, and lifts.
  • Ensure all scheduled rides are completed in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Work closely with the Life Enrichment and Transportation teams to coordinate ride schedules and appointment pickups.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A positive, energetic personality and a genuine love for working with seniors.
  • Comfort speaking in front of small groups and building connections.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to multitask.
  • Patience and a strong sense of empathy.
  • Previous experience in activities, customer service, caregiving, or hospitality (preferred, but not required — we'll train the right fit).
