We're looking for a passionate, hands-on Store Manager to lead our team, uphold our values of hospitality, quality, and service, and ensure smooth daily operations. Your Role
As Store Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations, lead and develop the team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience at our San Antonio Medical Center location. This is a hands-on leadership role—ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching others, and solving problems in real-time. You'll be responsible for building a strong team culture, implementing efficient systems, driving financial performance, and ensuring the store operates smoothly, profitably, and with the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Hire, train, and lead a team of baristas, bakers, and support staff to deliver excellent service and uphold Haraz values.
- Foster a positive, team-first environment built on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and regular recognition to maintain high standards.
- Create schedules, manage shift coverage, and ensure the store is properly staffed for efficient operations.
- Lead by example on the floor, addressing real-time challenges and providing on-the-spot coaching to the team.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily store operations, including cleanliness, drink preparation, customer flow, and service quality.
- Actively work on the floor alongside the team—making drinks, serving customers and running orders. This is a hands-on leadership role, not a back-office management position. The manager is expected to lead by example, performing the same tasks as baristas during each shift.
- Own all opening and closing procedures, shift efficiency, and adherence to health, safety, and brand standards.
- Maintain drive-thru efficiency, order accuracy, and guest satisfaction.

- Ensure the store opens and closes on time according to scheduled hours; proactively manage staffing gaps, call-outs, or lateness—and personally cover shifts as needed to maintain smooth operations
Financial & Inventory Management
- Monitor key performance metrics (sales, labor %, COGS, waste, SPLH) and implement strategies to optimize results.
- Manage cash handling, POS functionality, daily reconciliation, and coordinate with accounting for payroll accuracy.
- Place and receive orders from franchise and local vendors, maintain proper inventory levels, and control waste.
- Conduct periodic supply runs (e.g., Sam's Club, Costco, Restaurant Depot) as needed.
- Receive shipments from franchise deliveries to the storage unit, organize inventory, and transport items to the store as needed to ensure stock availability.
Technology & Delivery Platforms
- Ensure accurate menus and functionality of POS and online ordering platforms.
- Oversee delivery app performance, fulfillment times, and customer satisfaction ratings.
- Monitor and respond to customer reviews and feedback daily across all relevant platforms to protect brand reputation and continuously improve service.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain all food safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and brand guidelines.
- Ensure employee certifications (e.g., ServSafe) and documentation are current and compliant.
- Execute all standard operating procedures consistently to deliver a high-quality experience.
Community Engagement & Business Growth
- Support local marketing efforts and community partnerships to drive awareness and foot traffic.
- Take ownership of promotional campaigns, catering opportunities, and store events to grow the business.
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience managing fast-paced coffee shops/cafés.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Ability to effectively manage staff schedules, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using POS systems, spreadsheets, and delivery platform tools, with a strong preference for experience using Toast
- Highly organized, reliable, and hands-on with a commitment to operational excellence.
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and lead by example on the floor.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation for local errands, supply runs, vendor pickups, and trips to the storage unit to retrieve inventory and supplies.

Compensation:
Base salary starting at $45,000 annually, depending on experience, with performance-based bonuses tied to store success and individual contribution.
