Achieve your ambitions—join us at JLLWhat this job involvesOur facility is currently seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Building Engineer to provide reliable, efficient maintenance and operation support for all building equipment and systems.The position entails working independently and as part of a maintenance team to ensure optimal building performance. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance.Essential Job Functions:Building Operations & Maintenance: • Operate building equipment and systems as directed by Chief and Assistant Engineer and/or Facility Manager • Make necessary repairs and adjustments to improve operations of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems • Use best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system issues in a cost-effective manner • Ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion with minimal impact to the property or customersService Request Management: • Acknowledge and respond to all service requests timely, including:Plumbing: faucet and toilet repairsElectrical: lighting, switches, receptacle repairs, and motor replacementsHVAC: respond to and troubleshoot hot and cold calls and calibrate thermostatsDoor Hardware and locks: adjust door closures, tighten hinges, and install hardwareFire Life Safety Alarm System: system maintenance and repairs • Conduct building rounds and readings • Follow up with customers to ensure all service requests are completed to their satisfaction • Escalate any issues to Chief Engineer or Facility ManagerAdditional Responsibilities: • Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions • Perform inspection and troubleshooting of mechanical problems and building equipment • Execute preventative and unscheduled maintenance as directedEstimated compensation for this position:153,254.00 – 153,254.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
