Job Description:

Salad & Go is looking to hire an Automation Technician who is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems and machinery to ensure efficient operations in various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on automated systems, including computer-controlled machinery, to ensure optimal performance and minimize equipment downtime.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify malfunctions.

  • System Installation: Assist in the installation and configuration of new automated systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and safety standards.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance, and prepare reports for management, if needed.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other technical staff to improve system designs and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Technical training: Provide documentation for technical training with other technicians for CK coverage.

  • Special Projects: As needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: An associate degree in automation technology, robotics, or a related field is typically required or active automation experience with certifications of training.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronics, mechanics, and computer systems is essential. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other technical software if needed is required.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and document processes.

  • Certifications: Optional industry certifications (e.g., OSHA, ISA) can enhance job prospects and demonstrate expertise.

Work Environment:

  • The role will require physical presence on-site and occasional conference calls for training other CK technicians.
