Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of property management, ensuring that all residents receive exceptional service while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage relationships with residents, vendors, and staff while promoting a positive living environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and resident relations.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant law.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Handle resident inquiries and concerns with excellent customer service and conflict management skills.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure quality services at competitive rates.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote property leasing and upsell available units.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant leases, payments, and maintenance requests using CMMS systems.
- Provide administrative support including phone etiquette, filing, and office experience tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration.
- Knowledge of LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs is preferred.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell services or units effectively.
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage contracts and vendor relationships.
- Proficient in conflict management to address resident issues promptly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
