Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Commissioning Engineer specializing in Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC systems. This role involves the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment and building automation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, programming, and system design, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet project specifications.
Job Title: Controls Commissioning Engineer - BMS/HVAC
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning of BMS (Building Management Systems) and HVAC systems, including VAVs (Variable Air Volume systems) and RTUs (Rooftopits).
- Familiar with mission-critical systems (BMS, HVAC, EPMS, UPS, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, generators, etc.).
- Industry Expertise: No Preference but he should have done commissioning jobs at critical infrastructure like Pharma, Data Centers, Power etc.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure smooth handover.
- Collaborate with onsite teams, contractors, and customer stakeholders.
- Document commissioning activities and prepare test reports.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on expertise in BMS and HVAC commissioning with specific experience on VAVs and RTUs.
- Exposure to PLC and SCADA programming (no specific platform preference – Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc. acceptable).
- Ability to interpret control schematics, IO lists, and functional specifications.
- Familiarity with data center or mission-critical environments preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
