The Director of Acquisitions will lead the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of multifamily acquisition and development opportunities across Southeast Capital Companies' target markets. This role is designed for a highly motivated investment professional with a proven track record in deal-making and market intelligence in the Southeastern U.S. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial, transaction-focused environment and is eager to take an ownership mindset with meaningful profit participation in every deal they touch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and originate primarily acquisitions of existing multifamily properties across targeted MSAs: Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Charleston, Nashville Jacksonville, Tampa, and Orlando

  • Lead / assist underwriting, deal structuring, investment committee presentations, and transaction execution

  • Build and maintain broker, owner, lender, and equity partner relationships across key Southeast markets-

  • Collaborate with internal asset management and finance teams to execute on business plans post-closing

  • Represent Southeast Capital Companies in market with a high level of professionalism and transactional credibility

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of direct multifamily acquisitions experience in the Southeast, with a strong understanding of Atlanta MSA and at least two of the following markets: North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Northern Florida

  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing and closing multifamily deals

  • Strong underwriting, financial modeling, and investment committee experience

  • Established network of broker and principal relationships in the region

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for performance-based upside through profit participation in deals

  • Experience and relationships related to acquisition of vacant land and/or redevelopment of other uses for new multifamily communities is a plus but not required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, in real estate, finance, economics, or related field
