Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Eligibility Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for determining patient eligibility for medical and dental services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to both patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in a medical or dental office setting.

Responsibilities

  • Review and verify patient information to determine eligibility for services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to gather necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of eligibility determinations and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Assist patients in understanding their coverage options and benefits.
  • Collaborate with medical administrative staff to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
  • Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and insurance policies that may affect eligibility criteria.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an office environment, preferably within a medical or dental office.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using office software and electronic health record systems.
