Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced a commercial construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects in the restaurant/quick serve industry from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader on the job site, you will coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role would ideally have flexibility to travel throughout the SE states (GA, TN, AL, MS, SC, NC) during projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities and manage the workflow of subcontractors and laborers.
  • Review blueprints and schematics to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure that work meets industry standards and contractual obligations.
  • Utilize construction management software for project tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate construction estimates and budgets.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues that arise.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical tasks as needed.

Skills

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding of construction documents.
  • Experience with quality control processes in construction settings.
  • Knowledge of contracts related to construction projects.
  • Understanding of pipeline construction processes and requirements.
  • Strong skills in construction management principles and practices.
  • Ability to effectively use construction estimating techniques for budgeting purposes.
  • Competence in utilizing various construction management software tools.
