Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Treasury Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the organization's cash flow, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts, as well as proficiency in various accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash flow and forecasting to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and ensure adherence to securities law.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights that support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Mentor junior staff members in accounting practices and financial reporting.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, or Sage for financial management tasks.
- Perform audits and assist with tax preparation as needed.
- Engage in cash flow analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, LIHTC regulations, governmental accounting, and public accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and accrual accounting principles.
- Experience with financial report writing, interpretation, and statement preparation.
- Understanding of corporate finance concepts including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to conduct thorough account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Knowledge of auditing processes within the context of financial services.
- Experience with various accounting software platforms such as Xero or Quicken is a plus.
