The NemetzGroup is a life science commercialization strategic advisory firm looking to expand its team of biopharma consultants. As a Consultant at The NemetzGroup, you will leverage your expertise to provide strategic guidance and hands-on support to biopharma clients. The Consultant will collaborate with clients to help them navigate the road to launching new therapies and improve operational effectiveness across commercial and medical affairs functions.
This role empowers you to make an immediate impact with clients, drive the development and execution of integrated launch strategies, facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams, and champion best practices.

This consultant role will support clients in the planning, governance, and operational support necessary to bring their technology to patients. Specific commercial and medical affairs operations experience is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a member of The NemetzGroup client team, lead strategic and tactical launch planning in collaboration with clients, including developing comprehensive, cross-functional, integrated launch plans and facilitating the launch planning process
- Collaborate with clients to implement launch tactics as needed
- Educate and support client leaders in building and managing collaborative cross-functional launch teams
- Establish and maintain meeting governance frameworks, clear decision-making forums, and effective team norms to enable launch success
- Partner closely with commercial and medical affairs leaders to design and implement streamlined and efficient approaches for operational excellence, including new ways of working and optimized workflows leveraging innovative technologies and platforms
- Analyze and refine business processes to enhance launch readiness, cross-team collaboration, and executional rigor
- Design and implement processes for clients (MLR, Grant Review, etc.) to achieve business needs
- Oversee and mentor client teams, providing change management support and ensuring project milestones are achieved within aggressive timelines
- Maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor, delivering actionable recommendations and facilitating executive alignment
- Deliver on identified client engagements based on business need
- Serve as an integral member of client teams by facilitating internal forums such as launch planning meetings and update processes
- Continuously improve The NemetzGroup's launch planning and operational frameworks
SAMPLE ENGAGEMENT TYPES
- Launch readiness gap assessments (organizational and functional)
- Launch plan development and governance structure, and ongoing launch plan management and launch team meeting planning/facilitation
- Operational support for commercial and medical affairs functions, including development of right-sized solutions to support:
-MLR process
-Grant review process
-KOL meeting scheduler
- Vendor identification, selection, and onboarding to address business needs
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant life sciences or business discipline
- 10+ years in the life sciences/biopharma industry, with a track record in strategic launch and operational efficiency programs
- Proven expertise in developing and executing end-to-end launch strategies for new products in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector
- Deep knowledge of commercial and/or medical affairs operations, including process optimization and cross-functional team leadership
- Experience establishing and scaling governance structures, and facilitating complex, multi- stakeholder meetings
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive stakeholder management skills
- Ability to identify business opportunities and solve complex client issues
PREFERRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in matrixed, fast-paced environments and influence without authority
- Results-oriented, adaptable, and able to inspire and motivate diverse client teams to achieve ambitious goals
- A consulting or agency client service background is highly desirable
- Expertise and confidence with the use of project management principles; organized, responsive
- Familiar with various technology solutions and information databases
- Application of AI tools in professional settings
The consultant position requires the ability to lead, take decisive action, facilitate compromise, and defuse escalation. At The NemetzGroup, consultants must be able to prioritize competing demands, recognize when a situation calls for additional support, as well as realign a client's expectations to the scope of work. This role requires being proactive rather than reactive.
