Job Summary:

As a Digital Print Production Operator/Graphic designer, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's previous jobs. You will also manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed.

This is an excellent position for someone fresher interested in entering the printing industry and building a lasting career

Company will be providing full 3 months of training to assist our digital printers/large format department in printing, production, and installation projects.

The primary responsibility of the Digital Print Production Operator/ Graphic designer is to operate and complete all digital printing (B&W/Color) production for maximum production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery Command Workstation.
  • Assisting in our large format department with installations & production work when available
  • Works with Production work orders to prioritize and manage daily job production
  • Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the work order
  • Controls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced
  • Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
  • Tracks waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines
  • Maintains all Digital Printing Equipment logs
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Performs all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.
  • Ensures that all service "clicks" are credited by the service technician in each call, including credit for poor-quality copies
  • Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.
  • Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Digital printing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize several activities and tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, if needed.
  • Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment.
  • Can perform basic bindery functions.
  • Familiar and comfortable with Fiery Print Controller, a plus.
  • Is proficient with the use of Command Workstation (if applicable) to control digital workflow.
  • Graphic design skills are preferred but not required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Working hours:

  • 8-hour - Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm
  • No Weekends
