Job Description:
Accountable for managing design and delivery of integrated credit solutions and for underwriting, structuring and negotiating these solutions at the market. Partner closely with client-facing teammates to consult on sales opportunities, and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible solution to the client. Also accountable for ensuring that loan decisioning activities meet bank policies and procedures and that work product is delivered in an accurate and timely manner. Interfaces with business partners to achieve defined business objectives. This leader manages the Real Estate Corporate Banking (RECB) Analyst and Associate team.  They manage workflow and client coverage assignments for the 200+ clients in RECB, fill in underwriting gaps for newer analysts, and assist in day-to-day booking, execution and systems questions that arise.  They continuously develop the team through targeted group and one-on-one trainings and strategically hire with talent planning in mind (i.e. targeting experienced vs inexperienced talent at different points).  In addition to the managerial responsibilities, the candidate will also maintain primary Credit Officer coverage responsibilities for a select group of clients.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of relevant commercial real estate banking experience. 
  • Expertise in real estate debt underwriting, loan origination and client management.
  • High degree of knowledge of the Bank's Real Estate Credit Policy and Procedures.
  • Strong familiarity with Real Estate Risk Scorecards.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in  finance, accounting, economics, or similar preferred from an accredited academic institution
  • 10+ years' of relevant real estate banking experience
