Salary Range: Up to $80,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager provides specialized and advanced expertise to develop comprehensive strategic and operational plans for cybersecurity specific projects. This role is responsible for management of allocated projects associated with the assigned department/center under Institute for Economic Development (IED).
This is a grant-funded position, which may be extended or shortened based upon availability of funds and/or work.
Core Responsibilities
- Provides technical cybersecurity assistance for small and medium-sized investment clients, to include the development of system security plans, policies, procedures, response plans, and conducting assessments.
- Develops and proposes strategies and programs to assist small business clients with impactful cybersecurity solutions.
- Manages and generates sufficient program income to recuperate the costs of supporting assigned projects.
- Oversees market research and analysis conducted by staff that results in the achievement of significant cybersecurity improvements for clients.
- Conducts ongoing outreach and program promotions. Collaborates with external and internal centers to develop and maintain partnerships.
- Collaborates with external and internal entities to develop joint projects and foster positive working relationships.
- Works on assigned projects with consultants and other technical personnel.
- Prepares surveys, studies, reports and associated correspondence as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration or related field.
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in project management.
- At the discretion of the hiring manager, education may be substituted for experience on a one for one basis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of various project management software.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in grant writing and management.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Five (5) years of extensive experience in DoD, CMMC, and DFARS cybersecurity requirements for small businesses.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
- Office environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
- Occasional after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasional.
This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
