Senior Accountant – Development & Fund Operations

The Senior Accountant - Development & Fund Operations oversees the accounting functions for development projects and supports operations across the capital platform. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining financial integrity for all fund activities.

Development Project Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting for development projects, including reconciliations of balance sheets, accounts payable, and bank accounts.

  • Prepare bank reports and compliance obligations for development entities.

  • Oversee accounts payable, including issuing payments and addressing vendor inquiries.

  • Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and loan draw packages.

  • Analyze financial statuses of projects and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Recommend updates to accounting systems for efficiency improvements.

  • Prepare property management accounting reports for transitioning and ongoing investment properties.

  • Assist in setting up new investments, including data entry into Yardi Investment Management.

Cross-Platform Responsibilities:

  • Support accounting for Opportunity, Hospitality, and Land funds, including financial reporting and reconciliations as needed.

  • Prepare loan draw packages and support month-end/year-end processes.

  • Prepare financial statements and schedules, ensuring alignment with Asset and Project Management teams.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; minimum 5 years of experience required.

  • Development or investment fund accounting experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with Yardi Voyager is a plus.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $95,000.00 per year
