Summary:

Coordinate and ensure accurate shipments of finished products specific to each customer's requirements. Provide excellent customer service to external and internal clients, visitors, and vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Customer Service/Logistic:
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Verify daily confirmed Bill of Ladings from the Shipping Department.
  • Send out daily case counts and maintain "Cases Shipped" Spreadsheet
  • Research and file claims with the contracted carriers for shorts and damages.
  • Maintain freight cost comparison spreadsheets. Verify, approve and log freight bills for contracted carriers and submit to AP for payment.
  • Notify carriers of fee for all missed scheduled appointments.
  • Prepare in advance of shipment all customs paperwork needed for shipments out of the US.
  • Work with Co-Pack customers for specific shipments instructions
  • Request freight quotes to assist Pricing Manager for price quotes.
  • Maintain carrier shipping information in customer master.
  • Work closely with the Shipping Department and Production to ensure accuracy of all finished product shipments.
  • Redistribution data entry
  • Contract carriers for daily LTL and TL delivered shipments by email and emailed weekly truck sheets.
  • Track orders and follow up on orders not picked up.
  • Reply to New information requests sent from Marketing (from the Tulkoff website)
  • Order entry, invoicing, Scanning as needed. Possibly dedicated to specific co-pack customers.
  • Request/Send COI's when needed.
  • Rotate front desk duties:
  • Maintain security by following procedures, maintaining Envoy/iPad system/assisting guests with the sign in process if needed.
  • Distribute mail appropriately (includes scanning mail to out of state employees)
  • Answer phones in a professional manner, respond to general customer/product questions, provide directions if needed, and/or direct to appropriate department.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Advanced computer skills (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams), EDI experience a plus.
  • Ability to make decisions and handle difficult situations with multiple parties.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and outside contacts.
  • Great communicator both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, effective problem solving, able to work under pressure.
  • Organizational skills, positive attitude and must be a team player.
