Position Overview

The
Technology Analyst

will play a vital role in supporting the Engineering Solutions group and collaborating with the Technology Department to ensure the seamless functionality of hardware, software, and system integrations across the Engineering Department. 

This individual will oversee critical applications such as Autodesk, Bluebeam Revu, and other specialized design tools used throughout the agency. The position involves hands-on technical support, license administration, system upgrades, and optimization of performance to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with organizational technology standards. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage software deployment, upgrades, and technical support for Autodesk (290+ licenses) and over 70 specialized design and analysis applications.
• Oversee Bluebeam Revu portal administration, including 500 licenses, software configuration, installation, and user support.
• Collaborate with Server and Virtual Desktop Teams to manage Engineering Application VM servers and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments.
• Support computer refresh and setup programs, including OS upgrades, software pre-installation, and device configuration.
• Administer Engineering project data servers, manage folder structures, access rights, and document uploads to Livelink for agency-wide collaboration.
• Maintain accurate records of software licenses, renewals, and documentation via SharePoint.
• Generate and analyze Power BI reports on software performance, license utilization, and support metrics.
• Support development and maintenance of Engineering applications such as People Finder, CAD Review Automation, and EQuIs database.
• Perform SQL Server maintenance, including data backups, cleanup, and optimization tasks.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and proactively identify and resolve system performance issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science

, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years

of hands-on experience with Autodesk applications, including troubleshooting and user support.
- 3+ years

of experience with Azure Cloud Technologies, particularly in managing and maintaining applications within Azure Data Lake environments.
- Proficiency in Power BI

and Microsoft Office Suite for data analysis and reporting.
- 5+ years

of experience managing Bluebeam Revu or similar PDF markup tools.
- 10+ years

of system analysis experience, including monitoring network application license utilization and supporting complex technical environments.
- Experience supporting engineering design teams with data/document management, 3D point cloud data storage, and project workflows.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior experience working with a large public agency or utility.
• Familiarity with engineering data management tools and digital design platforms.
