Boston, Massachusetts, United States EF Education First Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

EF (Educational First) is a global organization with a 60-year mission of opening the world through education. We are a pioneer of the experiential learning movement, driven by the belief that the world is better when people try to understand one another. We offer immersive, hands-on experiences that help people travel the world, learn new languages, participate in authentic cultural exchange, and earn academic credentials.

EF Educational Tours, a division of EF, teams up with educators to take students beyond the classroom on immersive international travel programs. We deliver impactful educational experiences powered by a proven learning method that's designed to build essential skills, like curiosity and communication. Our tours bring adventure and education together—giving students firsthand experience of the world, and unlocking the type of personal growth that prepares them for their futures

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Product Marketing to build the product marketing function from the ground up. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a passion for travel, education, and crafting compelling go-to-market strategies that resonate with diverse audiences—students, parents, teachers, and school administrators.

What you'll do:

In this newly recreated position, you will be responsible for defining the function, developing positioning and messaging frameworks, partnering with product and sales teams, and owning go-to-market execution across a portfolio of our international and domestic student travel programs.

Build the product marketing function: establish tools, processes, engagement model, and KPIs for product marketing.

Craft positioning & messaging: Clearly articulate the value of our collections and tours for all customer groups, with a primary focus on educators.

Drive product marketing launch and promotion process: Lead marketing strategy for launches and featured products, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment and readiness.

Uncover and apply insights: Conduct and leverage research and analyze data to inform product positioning, messaging, and promotional plans.

Enable sales success: Create relevant materials and supporting documents to make it easy for sales teams to guide customers to the right product.

Collaborate with teams in and outside of marketing: Work cross-functionally to develop compelling assets and campaigns that bring our tours to life, including merchandizing our products online.

Champion the customer: Serve as a voice of the customer, bringing user needs and feedback in cross-functional planning.

Measure impact: Monitor and communicate the business impact of product marketing efforts.

Who you are:

A proven leader: You bring 8+ years of marketing experience, including 3+ years in product marketing and leadership roles. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Communications, Marketing, etc.) is required; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

A strategic thinker: You excel at translating market insights into differentiated product positioning that drives demand and excitement for our product portfolio.

A team player: You thrive in collaborative environments, embrace ambiguity and change and have a track record of driving cross-functional alignment.

A communication master: You know how to tell compelling stories the resonate internally and externally as well as build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Customer centric: you have a deep understanding of customer, ideally with experience in education, youth travel, edtech, or mission-driven companies.

Future forward: You keep your finger on the pulse of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices, always seeking innovative ways to elevate our product and brand

.

About EF Education First

Some companies are in the Business of Technology.

Others are in the Business of Finance….Sports…Or Soft Drinks.

At EF, we're in a different kind of Business.

One that's a little less tangible, and a lot more important.

Because our Business, what we make, makes everything else possible.

We're in the Business of Understanding.

Between people. Between cultures.

For over half a century we've been the leader in international educational programs and experiences designed to foster such understanding. Through Language, Cultural Exchange, Academic Studies, and Educational Travel, we create the kinds of immersive experiences that challenge biases, open minds, and pave the way for a more understanding world.

You'll find our 115 offices located in some of the world's greatest cities, and filled with smart, driven people who push each other to be better every day. And yes, we have technology, we have finance, we even have sports with our own professional cycling team. But it's what we do with it – Building greater understanding, breaking down barriers, and creating a better world…that makes all the difference.
