Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wound care management and demonstrate proficiency in various clinical settings. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to providing high-quality patient care, particularly in managing complex wound cases and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wounds, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for wound care management.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care for patients in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and hospitals.
- Document patient encounters accurately using EMR/EHR systems.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding wound care techniques and preventive measures.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives related to wound healing and management practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experiences:
- Critical care experience or hospital medicine background preferred.
- 2 years min Wound Care experience.
- Wound Care certified required.
- Previous work in telehealth settings or outpatient clinics is beneficial. We encourage candidates who are passionate about patient care and have a diverse clinical background to apply for this rewarding opportunity in wound care management.
