$60, $90,551.20This is in-person position. Location: Albany, New York.Provides comprehensive administrative and technical support within the Department of Nursing Resources. Responsibilities include scheduling system administration, ensuring data integrity across financial, productivity, and operational measures, and managing data collection and analysis from multiple sources to identify trends and support departmental goals. The role serves as a liaison among Nursing, Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, Information Services, and other stakeholders throughout Albany Medical Center. Additional duties include generating and presenting reports, maintaining and administering data-based systems and processes, and providing user education and support to ensure effective system utilization and communication across departments.
This is in-person position. Location: Albany, New York.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Serves as an expert in data sources and current reporting relating to the needs of Nursing Resources.
- Serves as both a consultant and technical expert for novel analytical and operational projects as needed.
- Provides maintenance for current reporting and operational projects implemented within Nursing Resources.
- Actively participates in continuing education relating to data analysis, including adoption of new methodologies and technologies.
- Participates in regular meetings with leadership within nursing, allowing for better understanding of operational needs and practices.
- Serves as an administrator and consultant for nursing scheduling and workforce management systems, ensuring seamless integration with payroll, human resources, and other operational systems. Collaborates closely with Information Systems and Payroll teams on the full system lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance. Provides expertise in system functionality, assists with workflow analysis, develops process improvements, and delivers training and support to end users to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant scheduling and workforce management practices.
- Serves as the System Administrator for the scheduling system(s) with assisting system configuration, monitoring system performances, diagnosing/correcting problems, and interacting with the vendors and internal resource groups when needed.
- Provides training and education for scheduling systems for users as necessary.
- Develops and shares best practices in scheduling and staffing management with unit managers and schedulers.
- Assists in developing training and educational materials to support users and enhance awareness and effective use of the scheduling system.
- Assists with Central Staffing Office functions by supporting the development of schedule templates and helping to balance schedules in response to changes
- Works in a professional partnership with unit managers, Payroll, HR, Data Analytics, and IS to ensure pay practice administration compliant with the applicable policies and pay program guidelines and conducts auditing as needed.
- Works with managers and employees for resolution of time and attendance and scheduling issues.
- Serves as an expert in the management and operationalization of contracted temporary workers within nursing departments. Includes ownership of related systems, processes, and technical needs.
- Processes delegated Workday transactions- Job requisitions and One Time Payment
- Assists in annual budget planning by preparing historical key metrics, benchmark data and tracking budget changes.
- Produces and distributes various productivity reports on a regular basis and based on ad-hoc requests.
- Assists in tracking Under $50K capital purchases and prepares a quarterly status report for Nursing Leadership.
- Provides quarterly data for Action OI reporting and distributes department reports quarterly and annually for Nursing organization.
- Monitors data flow and mapping tables among various systems to ensure integrity of data.
- Actively participates in establishing goals and strategies annually to enhance the functions and the scopes of the Nursing Resources Department.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all employee information.
- Assists with process improvement activities to maximize efficiencyies, effectiveness, and quality of work.
- Acts in accordance with the standards of NYS Department of Health and Joint Commission of Accreditation Hospitals.
- Evaluates own performance in relation to role responsibilities in conjunction with supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education requirement – Computer Science major or related fields with coding skills
Skills – database management, statistical analysis and visualization of analyzed data
