Front Desk Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a critical role in creating a welcoming and exceptional experience. This position involves handling check-ins and check-outs, answering guest inquiries, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a professional manner
- Manage room reservations and modifications using the property management system (PMS)
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and escalate as necessary
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfill guest requests
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area
- Follow all safety and security procedures as required by the hotel
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or hospitality training is a plus
- Previous customer service or hotel front desk experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Maestro, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- May require lifting or carrying items up to 25 lbs occasionally
