POSITION TITLE
Project Management Intern – Summer 2026

POSITION LOCATION
This hybrid position will be located in Richmond, Virginia.

YOUR ROLE
At Genworth, we cultivate future business leaders in our highly competitive program for college students studying Business Management or Administration, Project Management, Business Analytics, or Information Systems seeking a career in Project Management. This 10-to-12 week summer internship offers hands-on experience in managing projects across various departments such as IT, Operations, Finance, and Strategy. Interns will work alongside experienced project managers and cross-functional teams to support planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives. You'll gain exposure to project lifecycle management, stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and agile methodologies. Successful interns who are rising seniors may be considered for full-time opportunities within Genworth's project management or business operations teams.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supporting project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities
  • Assisting in tracking project milestones and deliverables
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment
  • Preparing presentations and reports for stakeholders
  • Participating in professional development workshops and sponsored community service events.

Must Have/What You Bring

  • Pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration or Management, Project Management, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Minimum or better GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Strong interest in project management and organizational leadership
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello) is a plus
